An experienced and trained Lash Artist will know how to help you achieve a certain look with classic lash extensions or customized lash extensions while maintaining the integrity of your natural lashes. At Lash ENVY, I REFUSE to sacrifice the health of your eyes and natural lashes for a 'certain' look. You can have dark, beautiful lashes with volume lash extensions and still maintain your lash health! YOU CAN HAVE BOTH!  

However, there is no governing body for Lash Artists, and not all salons offering this service are at equal levels. It is important to feel confident in your potential Lash Artist, which can be achieved by looking at reviews, pictures, and having conversations with them!

At the beginning of your first appointment, we will discuss your previous experience with lash extensions, including classic lash extensions, and your desired style and look. I also make it a priority to explain the plan or 'map' for your customized lash extensions, whether you're opting for classic or volume lash extensions, so that you feel confident and involved in how your lash set will turn out.

A Patch Test can help determine if you have a sensitivity or allergy to the ingredients in the adhesive used for classic lash extensions, customized lash extensions, or volume lash extensions. It is highly recommended that you schedule a patch test if you have a known allergy to Acrylic or Latex or if you've had a previous reaction to Lash Extensions.  

A patch test is a simple process where 2-3 small (not-visible) lash extensions are applied. In the following days, we monitor for any sign of a reaction. This can help determine whether any previous reactions have been a result of improper application or an allergy.

Lash Extensions, whether they are classic lash extensions, customized lash extensions, or volume lash extensions, are NOT a permanent service. As your natural lashes complete their life cycle, they will grow out and shed to make room for new lashes, taking the lash extensions with them. The adhesive used to attach the lash extensions is NOT a permanent product, and therefore it will slowly degrade, allowing the lash extensions to shed while leaving the healthy natural lash in place. You can lose anywhere from 2-5 natural lashes or lash extensions per day due to shedding or the degradation of the adhesive. That's 28-70 lash extensions every 2 weeks! Removing overgrown lash extensions and filling in areas that have shed are important aspects of keeping your lashes full and healthy. It is recommended to book a fill for every 2-3 weeks to take advantage of the fill prices and avoid the cost of another full set.

NO! Not at all! There is no pain associated with the application or aftercare process of classic lash extensions or customized lash extensions. By not overloading your Natural Lashes with heavy volume lash extensions, avoiding gluing multiple lashes together, and ensuring that the products do not come in contact with your skin, we guarantee that there is no discomfort at all. 

All these aspects are part of the ongoing training and the concept of proper application and lash sustainability that should be standard amongst the Lash Industry!

YES & NO. 

Completing a fill on another Lash Artist's work is often referred to as a foreign fill. As long as the previous work consists of classic lash extensions or customized lash extensions that are non-damaging and have been applied correctly, a fill can be performed without the need for a removal and full set. However, since the previous work is foreign, you won't receive the same guarantee if you experience retention issues after your appointment. 

It's also important to be aware that if you book a foreign fill and the prior work, including volume lash extensions, is deemed unacceptable, your service may not be able to be completed. If you have questions or concerns regarding a foreign fill, it's advisable to book a removal and a full set to ensure you achieve the desired look.
